Es originaria de China y su primera menci\u00f3n fue del a\u00f1o 1200 a.C. Fue introducida en Nueva Zelanda en 1904.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En los a\u00f1os 50 se le comienza a denominar por su nombre actual y en los 70 adopta este nombre a nivel comercial. Se considera que los maor\u00edes la llamaron as\u00ed por su supuesta similitud al ave del mismo nombre, s\u00edmbolo nacional de Nueva Zelanda.<a href=\"#_ftn1\" id=\"_ftnref1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta baya tiene una forma oval, de unos 6 cm de largo y piel fina, de color parduzco y con vellosidades. Su pulpa es verde con semillas negras en el centro, y su sabor es ligeramente \u00e1cido, como el de una grosella o fresa, por eso se le denominaba \u201cgrosella china\u201d o \u201cmelocot\u00f3n de fresa\u201d.<a href=\"#_ftn2\" id=\"_ftnref2\"><sup>[2]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Propiedades nutricionales del kiwi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El kiwi es una de las frutas con mayor contenido de vitamina C (cerca de 100 mg por 100 g).<a href=\"#_ftn3\" id=\"_ftnref3\"><sup>[3]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n es rico en antioxidantes como la lute\u00edna, cobre, \u00e1cido f\u00f3lico, magnesio, vitamina E y sobre todo, fibra, tanto soluble como insoluble:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>La lute\u00edna reduce el riesgo de padecer c\u00e1ncer, enfermedades card\u00edacas y enfermedades oculares como la degeneraci\u00f3n macular o las cataratas.<\/li><li>El cobre es fundamental para el desarrollo y crecimiento de los ni\u00f1os, desarrolla el sistema inmune, el sistema nervioso central y fortalece los huesos (como el folato y el magnesio). Tambi\u00e9n controla la presi\u00f3n sangu\u00ednea.<\/li><li>La vitamina E estimula la producci\u00f3n de col\u00e1geno, protegiendo la piel.
