Por eso, hoy te explicamos por qu\u00e9 los ni\u00f1os pueden tener problemas de sue\u00f1o, cu\u00e1les son sus s\u00edntomas y efectos y c\u00f3mo actuar en estos casos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfEn qu\u00e9 consiste el insomnio infantil y cu\u00e1les son sus s\u00edntomas y efectos?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El insomnio es un trastorno del sue\u00f1o muy com\u00fan que consiste en presentar dificultad para conciliar o mantener el sue\u00f1o. Hablamos de insomnio infantil cuando estos problemas se dan en ni\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El sue\u00f1o es un estado de reposo mental y f\u00edsico, y una funci\u00f3n recuperadora indispensable. Durante el descanso el organismo realiza m\u00faltiples funciones como fortalecer los huesos y el sistema inmunitario, entre muchas otras. Esto es crucial a todas las edades, sin embargo, es de vital importancia en la infancia y la adolescencia, momentos clave en el desarrollo f\u00edsico y mental de la persona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cuando un ni\u00f1o padece insomnio infantil se pueden identificar los siguientes signos y efectos:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Dificultad para que el ni\u00f1o o ni\u00f1a se duerma.<\/li><li>Despertares nocturnos muy frecuentes (hasta 15 veces), con incapacidad para poder volver a dormir sin los cuidadores.<\/li><li>Sue\u00f1o muy superficial.<\/li><li>Duraci\u00f3n del sue\u00f1o inferior a lo normal.<\/li><li>Irritabilidad y\/o problemas de conducta.<\/li><li>Somnolencia diurna.<\/li><li>Problemas de concentraci\u00f3n y memoria.<\/li><li>Mayor riesgo de depresi\u00f3n.<\/li><li>Trastornos del crecimiento y desarrollo.<\/li><li>Fatiga.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Causas del insomnio infantil<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dependiendo de su edad, los ni\u00f1os deben dormir una cierta media de horas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>De 0 a 3 meses: 14-17h<\/li><li>De 4 a 11 meses: 12-15h<\/li><li>De 1 a 2 a\u00f1os: 11-14h<\/li><li>De 3 a 5 a\u00f1os: 10-13h<\/li><li>De 6 a 13 a\u00f1os: 9-11h<\/li><li>De 14 a 17 a\u00f1os: 8-10h<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cada ni\u00f1o y sus condiciones son distintas, si bien, el insomnio puede aparecer por diversas causas tales como:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Malos h\u00e1bitos del sue\u00f1o y\/o falta de l\u00edmites.<\/strong> Los ni\u00f1os no han aprendido a tener una rutina de sue\u00f1o.<\/li><li><strong>Insomnio psicol\u00f3gico:<\/strong> Puede ser a causa de miedos, o resultado de un suceso o cambio en su rutina, como nuevo domicilio o colegio, conflictos familiares, acoso, la llegada de un hermano, una p\u00e9rdida, alta exigencia escolar, etc.<\/li><li><strong>Insomnio psicofisiol\u00f3gico:<\/strong> Cerca de la hora de acostarse, el ni\u00f1o se expone a est\u00edmulos que le generan estr\u00e9s, ansiedad o excitabilidad, por ejemplo, jugar o practicar deporte, o que haya luces o ruidos en el entorno.<\/li><li><strong>Causas m\u00e9dicas:<\/strong> En algunos casos pueden presentar dolores (como los de o\u00eddo, c\u00f3licos\u2026), enuresis (micci\u00f3n involuntaria nocturna), etc.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfC\u00f3mo prevenir y mejorar el insomnio infantil?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para prevenir el insomnio infantil es importante conocer los factores que pueden producirlo y actuar ante ellos.
