Diet in childhood is essential for development.

Childhood is a phase of constant growth and physical and mental development; thus, a varied and balanced diet is necessary for our children’s proper development as well as for acquiring good eating habits.

Adequate nutrition and having the right habits from a young age have lasting health effects, such as better school productivity and future protection from suffering from nutritional deficiencies, noncommunicable diseases, and/or being overweight.

At times, some children have periods with a lack of appetite or suffer from deficiencies in certain nutrients due to certain diseases or a poor diet, hindering the adequate supply of nutrients and preventing proper growth.
