Vitalink® Eficaps® Defenses is a dietary supplement that boosts and helps the immune system work properly.
Each Vitalink® Eficaps® Defenses capsule contains 4 tablets:
• Tablet 1: gastro-resistant (orange)
Contains vitamin D3 and vitamin K2, which are released in a sustained manner in the small intestine, avoiding stomach acid for better absorption. It has been known for some time that vitamin D3 helps the body absorb calcium, but new research has shown that vitamin D3 also plays a major role in ensuring the immune system works properly. Vitamin K2 in the form of menaquinone-7 (MK-7) is the most bioavailable form of vitamin K. Not only is it important for healthy bones and blood clotting, but it also prevents inappropriate calcification that could be caused by high doses of vitamin D3.
• Tablets 2 and 3: immediate release (yellow)
Contain Echinan 4P (Echinacea angustifolia extract), the most difficult to grow and historically the most valuable. Echinacea angustifolia root naturally contains phenolic compounds. Echinan 4P guarantees a high level of at least 4% echinacosides, which are traditionally known for their ability to stimulate the immune system.
• Tablet 4: sustained release (brown)
Contains iron and vitamin C, which are released in a sustained manner to avert interactions with other ingredients, increase their bioavailability and prevent the side effects of iron. Maintaining appropriate iron levels is important because this helps the immune system work properly and also reduces tiredness and fatigue. Vitamin C enhances the bioavailability of iron and helps the immune system work properly during and after intense physical exercise.
