Cough is a physiological defense mechanism of our body. Its aim is to facilitate the expulsion of foreign substances and secretions caused by infections in the respiratory tract. That’s why it is a good idea to regulate the cough mechanism while respecting its important function.
PhysioTuss® Pediatric is a 100% natural and preservative-free syrup that has been formulated to treat any cough, both dry and wet coughs.
Its exclusive formula based on natural extracts of Althaea officinalis, with honey and strawberry aroma to complete its formulation, gives it a fresh and pleasant flavor.
PhysioTuss® Pediatric forms a protective barrier on the mucous membranes of the pharynx thanks to the action of xanthan gum and gum arabic, which protect the throat from contact with irritating agents and pathogenic microorganisms, relieving irritation and keeping everything hydrated and lubricated.
Likewise, PhysioTuss® Pediatric hydrates and reduces the viscosity of mucus to favor its expulsion, thanks to the action of cane sugar, which stimulates salivation and increases the water content in mucus to make it more fluid.
Thus, PhysioTuss® Pediatric soothes, hydrates, and protects the upper respiratory tract, allowing for a complete solution to both dry and wet coughs.
Ingredients:
60% cane sugar, purified water, honey powder, 1% marshmallow (Althaea officinalis dry extract), citric acid, 0.05% xanthan gum, 0.5% gum arabic, strawberry aroma, and mixed natural tocopherols.
Recommended daily dosage:
For children between 1 and 5 years of age, it is recommended to take 5ml of syrup 3 times a day. For children between 6 and 11 years of age, it is recommended to take 10ml of syrup 3 times a day. It is recommended to take the last dose before going to sleep.
For reasons of hygiene and to prevent the transmission of pathogens, the dosing cup should not be used by more than one person.
Instructions for use:
– Shake before use.
– Remove the dosing cup and the protective cap from the bottle.
– Take the recommended dose according to age.
– After each use, close the bottle and wash and dry the dosing cup.

Contraindications and adverse effects:
No adverse effects have been reported for the ingredients of PhysioTuss® Pediatric at recommended doses, but if you experience adverse effects or symptoms last for more than 1 week, check with your doctor or trusted pharmacist.
At the indicated doses, no interactions are known. Likewise, it is recommended to check with your doctor if you are taking any other type of medication.
In the event you are taking other medication, separate your taking the syrup at least half an hour before or after your other medication.
Any serious incidents related to this product must be reported to the manufacturer and to the competent authority of the Member State in which the user and/or the patient reside.
Warnings and precautions:
In the event of allergy or suspected allergy to any of the components of this medical product, it is recommended not to use it as a precaution.
If the symptoms do not disappear after 1 week, check with your regular doctor — especially in children under 3 years of age. This product’s use is not recommended in children under 1 year of age.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Storage and expiration date:
Keep in a cool and dry place. Keep below 40ºC and protected from direct sunlight or other sources of heat.
Handle the product carefully. In the event of accidental fall or breakage, the packaging may have sharp edges.
Dispose of the product 1 month after opening.
Do not use the product after the expiration date indicated on the box and label.
Do not dispose of the contents of this product down the drain. Place the bottle, the cap, and the dosing cup in the corresponding containers for recycling.
